Terms of service
Last updated 25 October 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and EATERIA s.a.r.l., the company at Plot 102, Souk El Gharb, Mount Lebanon, Lebanon that makes and runs Holo. They cover the Holo back office, the Holo registers, Holo online ordering and the Holo app. By creating an account or using any of them, you accept these terms.
Holo has two kinds of user. A business uses Holo to run its shop, restaurant or service. A customer uses the Holo app to keep the cards, points and receipts the businesses they visit give them. Some sections apply to only one of the two, and say so.
Your account
Give us accurate details when you sign up and keep them current. Keep your password and your phone to yourself: what is done with your sign-in is your responsibility unless you tell us it was taken.
A business decides who on its team has an account and what each role may do. The owner is responsible for the people they add and for removing those who leave.
Trial, plans and payment (businesses)
A new business can try Holo free for the period shown when it signs up.
After the trial, Holo is billed per location, monthly or yearly, at the price of the plan you choose on holo-pos.com. Prices are shown before you pay. Payment is made on the web; the Holo app does not sell plans.
If a payment is not made, the account keeps working for 7 days after the end of the paid period. After that it is locked: nobody in the business can read or change its data until the subscription is renewed. Your data is not deleted because an account is locked.
Cancelling and refunds (businesses)
You can cancel at any time with 30 days notice, by writing to us. Months already paid are not taken back.
If you ask within 30 days of your first paid subscription payment, we refund that payment in full.
Your data
A business owns the data it puts into Holo: its products, sales, books, staff and customer records. We store and process it only to run the service for that business, and we keep every business separate from every other. You can ask us for a copy of your data, or for it to be deleted, at any time.
When a business keeps records about its own customers, the business decides what it collects and why; we process those records on its behalf. The Holo account a customer makes in the app is ours to look after, as described in the privacy policy.
To run the service we use a small number of providers: Supabase for the database, Vercel for hosting, Whish for payments, messaging providers for codes and alerts, and an AI provider when a business uses the AI features. The privacy policy names them and says what each one receives.
The Holo app for customers
The app shows you the cards and points the businesses you visit have given you. Nothing a business has on record about your number appears in the app until you confirm it is you, card by card. You can remove a card at any time; the business keeps its own record of your purchases.
Points, stamps and rewards are each business's own offer, on that business's rules. They have no cash value, cannot be sold or moved to someone else, and may change or end when the business changes its programme. If a business leaves Holo, its card stops updating.
The app does not hold money for you. There is no balance to top up or withdraw.
What you may not do
Do not use Holo to:
- break the law, or record sales, payments or tax figures you know to be false;
- read or change data that belongs to another business or another person;
- test, probe or overload our systems, or get around a limit or a lock, without our written permission;
- send messages to people who have not agreed to receive them;
- copy, resell or rebuild Holo, or the parts of it you can see.
AI features
Holo can answer questions about a business's figures, in the back office and through AI apps such as ChatGPT and Claude that the owner connects. These answers are read from the business's data, but an AI can still get things wrong. Check a figure before you act on it, pay on it or file it.
Keeping Holo running
We work to keep Holo available at all hours, and the registers keep selling when the internet is down, sending their sales once it is back. We cannot promise the service will never stop or never have a fault. When we plan work that interrupts it, we tell businesses beforehand.
We improve Holo continually. A feature may change, and occasionally one is withdrawn; when that affects what a business pays for, we tell it first.
Responsibility
A business is responsible for its own prices, taxes, accounts and dealings with its customers and staff. Holo is a tool for running them, not advice about them.
As far as the law allows, we are not liable for lost profits or indirect losses, and our total liability to a business for any claim is limited to what it paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits a liability the law does not allow us to limit.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we email account owners at least 30 days before the change takes effect. The date at the top of this page says when they last changed. Using Holo after a change takes effect means you accept it.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Lebanon. If a dispute cannot be settled by talking to us, it goes to the courts of Mount Lebanon.
